The cost of transporting an automobile depends on several factors. The distance involved
(from where to where?). What type of car you want transported (SUV's are bigger and

How long does it take to transport an automobile?
This also depends on several factors. Average transport time from coast to coast is 10
to 14 days after pickup. Out of the way places can take a little longer to transport.

What do I need to do to prepare my auto for transport?
Your car should be in good operating condition. It should start, run, drive and stop like
normal. In-operable autos are difficult to transport and cost more.

May I pack personal effects in my vehicle?
We recommend that you do not pack personal effects in your vehicle. Your car is insured
during transport, but any contents are not. Anything you leave in your car is done at your
own risk. Please do not overload your car because this makes it difficult to safely load it
onto our transport trucks. If you must pack any personal belongings in your car, please do
so in the trunk, and no more than 50 pounds. There will be a surcharge for any personal
effects left in the seats.

Is my car insured while in transit?
Yes, your car is insured during transit. We have cargo insurance for up to $50,000 to fully
cover your vehicle in case anything should happen. The contract or bill of lading will explain
this in detail.
